This Cookie Notice explains cookies and similar technologies on JackKapala.com, operated by Success Seekers LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company. Read it with our Privacy Policy. The site’s development version is jackkapala.com.
What these technologies do
Cookies are small values stored by your browser. Similar technologies include browser storage and embedded services that receive information when loaded. Some are needed to provide a function you request; others support optional media, measurement, or advertising. A server can also receive your IP address and request details without setting a cookie.
Site functions and necessary technologies
- WordPress sign-in: When an administrator signs in, WordPress uses authentication and session cookies, including names beginning with wordpress_ or wordpress_logged_in_, and may use a test cookie. These keep the administrator signed in and support secure account access. Their lifetime depends on the login and “Remember Me” choice. These are not a reason to load advertising cookies for ordinary readers.
- Form security: A web contact form is not currently active. The prepared WPForms Lite form has not been connected to optional cloud entry backups or an external CAPTCHA service. Contact is currently by email or mail.
- Hosting and security: Hosting or delivery systems may use values needed to route requests, maintain security, or diagnose errors. Their scope and lifetime depend on the provider and the feature being used.
Optional comment preferences
If a comment form offers to remember your name, email address, and website, you can leave that box unchecked. If you choose it, WordPress normally stores comment_author_ values for up to one year so you do not have to re-enter those details. Delete these through your browser’s cookie controls if you no longer want them remembered. Comments may still be submitted without that preference where the form allows.
Where comment avatars are enabled, WordPress may send a hash derived from a commenter’s email address to the Gravatar service to request an avatar. That is a separate third-party connection; it is not made anonymous merely because a hash is used.
Optional YouTube videos
Video thumbnails are hosted on this site. Viewing a page does not load an embedded YouTube player or a remotely hosted YouTube thumbnail.
Clicking a thumbnail or “Watch on YouTube” link opens YouTube in a new tab. You then visit YouTube directly, where Google may use cookies, browser storage, and technical or viewing information under its own policies.
You can read the site without opening YouTube. Your browser settings and Google’s privacy controls govern your choices when visiting that external service.
You can instead follow the external “Watch on YouTube” link. You will then be visiting YouTube directly, under its own policies. Read Google’s Privacy Policy for information about that service.
Referral links and other websites
When you choose an affiliate or other external link, the destination website or referral network may use its own cookies or identifiers. Those practices are controlled by that service and described in its notices. We identify relevant commercial relationships near recommendations and in our Affiliate Disclosure.
Newsletter and future changes
The newsletter signup sends the information you enter to ActiveCampaign when you submit. The form uses locally rendered fields and does not load ActiveCampaign site-tracking code or external fonts when you view this page. After submission, ActiveCampaign processes your request under its service arrangements and may use technologies needed for that process. Marketing emails may include open-detection images and tracked links where enabled. See our Privacy Policy for details and choices. Before adding optional site analytics, advertising pixels, or site tracking, we will update this notice and provide any required choices. This notice does not grant blanket permission for future tracking.
Your controls
Leave optional videos unloaded, leave the comment-preference box unchecked, or use your browser to review, block, or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking necessary technologies may affect sign-in or another requested function. Browser settings are additional controls, not a replacement for consent where the law requires it.
